Cancellation and Refund Policy

You may cancel your reservation up to 5 days  prior to the delivery date of your rental gear and receive a full refund. 

Cancellations made inside 5 days prior to the delivery date of your rental gear is subject to a 20% non refunded charge of the reservation total. 

Unfortunately we cannot control Mother Earth and the weather she brings. PLEASE check the local forecast when making reservations as there will be NO refunds for inclement weather that may result in little, to no use, of your rental gear. 

Delivery and Pickup Policy

Weekly reservations made by vacationers with weekly rental properties, delivery of your rental gear will revolve around the check in/check out times of your rental property. Deliveries will be made between 2 and 6 PM on the day you check in and Pickups will be made between 7 and 10 AM on the morning of your check out. 

***For same day reservations please disregard the delivery time window during the booking process and contact us directly to schedule a delivery time.***

Please contact us directly if you have a scheduling conflict with the times listed above. We will do everything we can to accommodate our customers but can NOT guarantee a custom delivery and pickup time. info@whyknotrentals.com  

We will do everything we can to facilitate same day delivery but can NOT guarantee it for reservations made that day.

Why Knot Rentals, LLC

All orders must be paid in full prior to delivery. No rental equipment will be delivered if there is an unpaid balance. 

Renter is responsible for any damages done to the rental equipment. Why Knot Rentals reserves the right to charge up to a $300 fee for damage repairs.  

Lost or stolen equipment: Why Knot Rentals reserves the right to charge up to $700 for the replacement of rental gear.

Renter MUST be able to safely and securely store rental gear when not in use and overnight. Due to the length of Kayaks and Paddle Boards, they will NOT fit inside most hotel rooms and condos and absolutely will NOT be able to be taken up or down internal stairwells or elevators.  

If you plan to transport our rental Kayaks, Paddle Boards, or Surfboards with your vehicle, the renter MUST have the appropriate gear to do so in a safe manner (ie. racks, pads, and tie downs). We offer “Quick Strap Racks” that are suitable for most vehicles that do NOT have racks. These can be rented for a minimal charge.  

Renter must know how to swim to use rental equipment.

Renter must wear the provided PFD at all times while kayaking.

Renter is not required to wear, but must keep provided PFD on the Paddle Board (under bungee straps) while paddle board is in use. 

Renter must wear provided board leash at all times while using a surfboard, paddle board or boogie board.

Renter shall not be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs while using rental equipment

Renter agrees not to leave rental items unattended on the beach, or any other public location.
